Tongue-Eating Parasite, these parasites, scientifically known as Cymothoa exigua, enter the fish's body through its gills. They can grow up to 1.1 inches long. Later, they attack the blood vessels in the fish's tongue and begin to suck its blood, eventually causing the fish's tongue to fall off.
