I disagree. The average age of retirement in the United States is 63. Worst case scenario, OP is drawing retirement at age 60, or three years younger than the average age.

Retirement age in the Guard is age 60, not 62. Additionally, only active duty time in the Guard or Reserves while in support of a contingency operation after January 28, 2008 reduces the retirement age. Active duty time before serving in the Guard does not reduce retirement age in the Guard.
