Correct I applied for a renewal since I read from other people that you get at least a year grace period before they consider you application as a new applicant in which case they do not accept at all..

You’ll be fine luckily you renewed. Someone filed for renewal on the 364 day mark and got approved. Learn from this don’t do it again but I assume you have one year unlawful prescence which is a 10 year bar. If you have a legal entry I wouldn’t worry about that

Yes that’s what I keep reading I just wanted some peace of mind and see if someone else has done the same thing and what the outcome was. Thanks though! And absolutely never letting this happen again especially after learning how easy it is to file online.
