Best way to frag encrusted SPS?

Dunno how solid your rocks are mounted, but I've had luck with a chisel and breaking the corner or the rock off with the frag and dealing with it outside the tank

I think chisel would work but in my case would risk damaging the big colony. But I’ll keep it on hand anyway just in case :) thanks

Bone cutters they make all different sizes. I have some big ones I use on colonies that are super thick. You’ll end up getting most of it off as long as you can get at it at a good angle. Definitely going to have more issues without moving it as they will start to fight and usually one will end up dying off due to the constant battle. Might think about relocating the yellow one on the right too, but tanks looking great and corals looking healthy. Good stuff mate

Yes I was dreading that. Getting the rock out and using a cutter would be a challenge but looks like thats the only good option. And yes will be moving the yellow one as well. Luckily its on a frag plug. Thanks
