The former inner German border

Odd little conifer in my grandpa’s garden in NW Oregon. Looks like an Araucaria, but unsure of the exact species.

Need help identifying this pine. Grandfather who grew it from seed claimed it was a "white pine," but it has only two needles per fascicle and completely different cones. Possibly lodgepole pine? Growing in NW Oregon and freely reseeding (second pic is a seedling from the tree).
