MSP 6 Month Review. If you have any questions, let me know!

I decided to make a career change last year and went all in into a whole new career: IT Help Desk! But here’s the trick, it’s an MSP…

How has it been? It has been THE most challenging job that I have ever had, but very rewarding in relation to the amount of knowledge you will obtain. It is a lot of work, sometimes it is dead, sometimes it is non stop!

We provide IT services for multiple companies all across the US. We also provide cloud services as well. If you’re wanting to kick start your career in IT, I would highly recommend starting out in an MSP.

TIPS and TRICKS:

Now here’s a warning, there are a lot of moments where it is OVERWHELMING. Learn how to establish BOUNDARIES and make sure to take breaks if you can. This will make or break you.

DOCUMENTATION. Documentation is everything! Collaborate with co workers and effectively work together to get things done and to create a knowledge base! It will help in a long run.

COMMUNITY. If you work with a group of guys/gals, you will have to establish a community. Collaboration is everything and if you can aid to an end users success by collaborating with another co worker, go for it. Help each other out!

ASK QUESTIONS! Do not be afraid to ask questions and for help. It’s better to ask, than to twiddle your thumbs. MSP environment will humble you. If you want to GROW, you will have to GLEAN from your superiors and co workers.

Working at an MSP is not a breeze. It’s a lot of work and like I said, it’s overwhelming. Is it sustainable? For some, it is! For some, it’s not. It’s up to how you like to work! But I can tell you this, you will glean so much knowledge from working at an MSP!

If you have any questions, please pass them my way! If there’s anyone who is in a similar instance, please answer those questions!
