My ex didn’t love me

I came to the realization that my ex in fact, did not love me. They loved the things I did for them and idolized it.

It’s only now walking away that I came to that realization. I gave them everything. All I received was pain, torment that they’d always leave, and fear.

Anyone else come to that realization amongst themselves? Sigh.
