You know you're an adult when...

As someone who plays the sims since childhood I remember dressing adults like tweens and not being aware of it until my mom pointed it out. This was especially prevalent in sims 3 because of plenty customization options. I remember proudly showing off to my mom my gown ass sim in a cutesy kawaii style or the early 2010s indie style. She was like "Oh... you dressed her like she was your age, nice..." (I was around 12) and me being slightly insulted by it.

Now, I dress sims like actual adults, very stylish ones. I get frustrated when I don't have enough business casual conservative outfits for my career oriented sims or my middle aged sims. I think about their work-life balance and make sure the married sims woohoo regularly because that's what adults should do. For some reason, I avoid scandals and drama, while I lived for it in the past. It's so interesting observing this. 5 years ago, I had no idea how to dress anyone older than young adults, I would just add a shirt and heels to older women and call it a day.
