Unpopular opinion I actually like Taylor’s parents

Ik a ton of people don’t like her parents especially her mom bc they think they’re critical and judgy. Her parents seem like they’re good people that just want Taylor to have a good life. They don’t want to see Taylor screw up her life and her kids lives. Even tho it’s too late she’s caused a lot of damage I hope she actually learns from it and avoids making these same mistakes. On the show she seemed like she just wanted her mom to validate her behavior even tho she knew she had made and was making terrible choices. I give her credit for speaking her truth even tho she knows Taylor isn’t gonna listen. Taylor’s parents have been the ones that have been looking out for Taylor’s older children.

It’s sad that their own mother pushed them to the side for a strange man. In the first episode I think her mom actually handled the conversation with Taylor very well. She never raised her voice or cussed her out but she handled it pretty well imo. She stated facts and valid concerns out of love. You can tell loves her daughter and doesn’t want to see her make poor choices or suffer. I don’t agree with her parents on everything like them encouraging her to marry Dakota even tho they don’t like him and know he’s bad news. But it is part of their beliefs from their religion. I don’t agree with their religion but I do have respect for people that follow the rules and live by their standards it’s not an easy thing to do.
