Part time student and first time filing.

Hey everyone, like the title says this is my first time filing taxes in my life and my mom and I are not entirely sure how we should file. She is saying she wants to claim me on hers as a dependent, but I am unsure if we should because I paid out of pocket for my tuition and worked two jobs before the year ended, but they did not overlap. I Just turned 20 this January if that matters too.
