Conventional oil in Godzilla good boy
I had my oil changed today at a Jiffy Lube (I know I’ll catch hell for admitting as much) but I had a pretty interesting exchange I’d like to share with you.
The guy working told me that conventional oil will void the warranty on any new Ford engine. I kinda laughed and asked if he was being serious, and he was. When I asked why, he could “recall” the reason why but only full synthetic or a blend was recommended. I wanted to ask him why in the hell a blend would work but straight conventional wouldn’t, but I didn’t want to even go down that road. All I told him is that I’m already up shit-creek because all I ever used since new was conventional so let’s just roll with it.
So Redditors, what say you? Does conventional oil void the warranty? 😂
