I want to understand why people like Rose

Listen, we all know the typical reasons to not like rose. I do not like her or think she’s a good gem.

Everyone talks about how we didn’t get to see her redemption arc or it was backwards. But to me… it’s like… we didn’t get to see it so it didn’t/hasn’t/won’t happen. Why is everyone so fixated on what she COULD be when she just wasn’t?

She did love the earth I know that, and as everyone has said she was young and abused by the diamond which is heartbreaking. She was unsure and curious, she was young and selfish. All these can explain why she was the way she is but it still doesn’t excuse how she hurt everyone. Idk, I know that this might seem insensitive but I’ve dealt with this kind of behavior before.

The young abused person hurt everyone and later becomes good. Just because later they change doesn’t change the hurt. The people in the past don’t need to forgive that person. And in Rose’s case, she never got that arc so why is everyone so fixated on that? Do we even know the hurt she could’ve done, the damage and heart break that she could’ve done over and over until she had her arc.

Maybe this is a unpopular opinion but here we are 😅
