PARENTS, CONTROL YOUR KIDS PLEASE!

I can't tell you HOW MANY TIMES a parent comes in with their kids and cannot be bothered to pay attention to them. The number of times a kid tries to come back behind the counter because their parents are looking at their phone before ordering at the register instead of watching their kid is actually insane.

It's even WORSE when the parent SEES THE KID RUNNING AROUND THE STORE but does NOTHING. Starbucks is not a playground for your kid, and we have things that little kids can get hurt from throughout the store. Especially when we do floors, and the floors are slippery, don't let your 5-year-old kid run around the store alone because next thing you know, they'll faceplant on the ground. It's absolutely ridiculous that parents come in with little children and don't care enough to make sure that they're with their parents. I was on warming today, and a little girl (who looked like 4?) came BEHIND THE COUNTER and almost got tripped as I was moving around warming. Like, HELLO? Where the hell are the parents!???

Another thing, please don't let your literal 4-year-old kid (not exaggerating) come inside alone while you're texting outside the store on your phone. Half the time kids are with parents, the little kid runs up to the door and tries to open it (but can't since it's too heavy for them to open) and almost gets hurt, and please don't OPEN THE DOOR FOR THEM and then just STAND OUTSIDE?! This rant shouldn't even need to happen. It's not safe for your little kid who can barely walk to be coming inside a store alone with things they can easily get hurt from. And please ,for the love of god, WATCH YOUR CHILDREN!
