cheapest way to receive money from US?

I am run a small freelance business and my client wants to payme they normally do direct bank transfers but apparently that costs them a bit more send via bank transfers whats the best way do you guys think we can get payments to Sri Lanka? does Wise work or is there any better way he was trying wise but it wasnt working for some reason
