Ok, how to follow Exile? Quite a challenge
The cover is pretty shit. It doesn't relate to what is inside
Side 1 is the greatest single side of an album that I know. Some say Dancing with Mr D is a weak opener I don't agree, I find it hypnotic, slinky, and sexy, and it sets a great mood for what is to come.

The guitar soloing on 100 years ago makes it one of my all-time favorite Stones tracks
Coming down again is just sublime
Angie is possibly their greatest ballad
Heartbreaker is an absolute classic.

Side two falls away for me.. Silver train is fine, but not a classic
Hide your love also
Winter is excellent, some have this as a favourite, and I get that, beautiful atmosphere on this
Can you hear the music? Yes I can.. but we lose some momentum here..
Star Star, is one of their throwaways for me.. fun live I am sure..

All in, this is one hell of an album, underrated in my book.. I may be biased as this is one of my entry points to the Stones beyond the singles and hits.. I still absolutely love it to this day, even if it kind of tails off on Side 2.
