PS2 Modchip keep or no?

I’ve got two Ps2 Slim Platinum Edition they are both the 70000 models, this week from two different person on marketplace, in Spain. I’m wondering which one to keep one is modchipped and the other one is not. Is there any benefits to have it modchipped as there is FMCB?
