No objective markers on UI?

I’m playing on easy. (I don’t do scary games or horror ones) I’ve had to look up YouTube a few times and IGN guides for side quests , anyway my question is, Is it normal to not have UI markers on my screen?

Every YouTube video or ign page I’ve scrolled has had markers or even when you get close to an objective it pops up. I can see them in the map but not on HUD. Is this normal, like a post patch thing or what?
