How the PS5 Pro Brought Me Back to Gaming After 10 Years
The only consoles I ever owned were a PS2 Slim in 2005 and a Wii in 2008. Since then, I’ve mostly been gaming on a laptop—but to be honest, it killed my passion for gaming. PC gaming always felt like more of a chore than a hobby for me. Why?
Constant driver updates.
Juggling multiple clients and logins.
Tinkering with graphics settings for every game.
Needing extra gear (like a wireless mouse/keyboard) to comfortably control things.
Dealing with overall clutter.
It just felt... exhausting.
Then I got the PS5 Pro this past November, and wow—it’s been a game-changer, literally. I love how I can just grab the controller, power it up, and jump right back into the action where I left off. No fiddling, no distractions—just pure gaming.
In two months, I’ve finished 10 games—more than I’ve completed in the last decade on PC! Sure, a high-end PC might offer slightly better graphics or performance, but for me, the price and convenience of a console like the PS5 Pro absolutely crush it.
Has anyone else had a similar experience switching from PC back to console? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
