Nesting or embedding?

I know this question gets asked a lot on here, but I got these yesterday and I cant tell if my left one (right in the picture) is embedding or not? my lip is swollen from it so idk if that has something to do with it. Do I need to get longer bars? I've read that if I can move it and pop it out without pain (which i can), then it's not embedding, but im still not 100%
