Three Months In, and My Girlfriend's Frugality Is Blowing My Mind—Am I expecting too much?

I’ve been living with my girlfriend for three months, and her frugality is... intense. I’ll give her kshs 500 bob to buy dinner stuff, and she’ll come back all smiles with two tomatoes, two onions, 70 bob of meat, and 10 bob of coriander. That’s it. No extras, no fruit, nothing unless I remind her.

I get that the economy’s rough, but it feels extreme. She always gets the bare minimum, and I'm starting to wonder: is this just her personality, or am I asking for too much? Anyone else been with someone this frugal?
