What does a growth marketer do?

Hi, I've joined a startup as a growth marketer. All I do is email marketing everyday. So I wanted to understand what more is there to marketing and specifically to a role like growth.

I'm having a feeling that the employer just fooled me into taking this job now. This will really help me to know what a growth marketer really does :)
