How often do you weigh yourself?

I have a new, relatively nice scale, but it seems to be jumping all over the place. I know some people weigh themselves daily. Some people say once a month. What have ya’ll found to be the best? Does time of day matter?

Since I need to meet a word count I will ask some more questions.

I am currently doing a calorie deficit and using my fitness pal to track my calories. Saturday I did a 5 hour bike ride that burned 1600 calories. I also ate 2700 calories but was still under my cal count. Am I doing this right? Feels fake?

Edit: For other people who menstruate, how does your cycle affect fluctuations? I know I can google a lot of these questions but I like hearing people’s lived experiences.
