Today was my birthday

I am a 19-year-old college student and today was my birthday. I received one birthday text and it was an automated text from a community college. I had taken courses from an high school. I spent the entire day trying to ignore the fact that it was my birthday. My friends didn’t notice my family didn’t seem to care. I am currently sitting in my room, eating a slice of birthday cake by myself people throw around the word, lonely way too much you haven’t truly been lonely until You’re by yourself on your birthday with no one to talk to.
