Lawncare Companies

Can anyone tell me why fertilizer Lawncare companies apply every 4-6 weeks , well it might be every other 4-6 weeks. That seems way more often than any of the bag stuff. Is it low nitrogen applications. Also its a spray . Any idea what they use?
