jetblue refusing to give waive fee or give credit due to LA fire, thinking of adding the insurance but this reason does not qualify?
i booked this trip months in advanced bc i had no idea a literal wildfire will start exactly where i am staying. i dont want to impose as a visitor/tourist when all the residents are going through such a difficult time. it seems selfish to go and take up resources and space when theres been a natural disaster. my flight is this wed but bc they are only waiving fees until saturday, even though the fires are still going strong. i also have really bad asthma and the air quality is going to be horrible. they are refusing to do me the favor of credit. my friend called and has blue basic just like i do, and they offered him a full refund??? so i dont understand what is the difference with me??? this is so frustrating
update; they extended the waiver to the 14th but i fly out the 15th. i got on a chat and practically beggedd the agent to empathize and wave the fee since i fly out the next morning after the waiver ended. she was kind enough to make the exception and i got really lucky i landed on her. def never buying a non refundable ticket ever again.
