Carpet bubbles from GooGone adhesive removal

I recently posted about removing very old duct tape off the carpet. Goo Gone and a scrub brush was suggested and it worked great! Unfortunately, it also left bubbles on the carpet where the adhesive underneath also was hit by the goo Gone soaking through. Stretching the carpet is not a choice. I'm looking for suggestions on how to fix these bubbles.
