Spending too much time in play mode

Hello guys, wanted to ask is it normal to sometimes spend few or more hours just playing game in editor.

So for context I'm working in Unity on 2d rpg multiplayer game and when I feel stuck or spend some time getting nowhere I opt to another project 3d singe player fps shooter game to work on just to cool my head or just switch my brain a bit in different direction.

But sometimes I just stay there playing game in editor and tweaking some variables to make more mess and enjoy it but it started to get me nowhere as I played it more than working on it.

Have you experienced similar and how did you deal with it or just let yourself enjoy until you get bored of it?

But well I doubt it will get boring of destroying stuff and blowing things up like it's doomsday.
