Favorite Artists not from a band?

The title is pretty self-explanatory. So someone like Roger Waters doesn't count, because his work was mostly with Pink Floyd.

Some of mine would be:

• Kendrick Lamar: he made my favorite album of all time, GKMC, and GNX. That's about enough to make him one of my favorite artists of all time.
• Lauryn Hill: she released an album so good, it's arguable that it's the greatest of all time. I respect Apple Music for the pick
• David Bowie: he might be the overall best artist of all time. Just so much fantastic output. Low, "Heroes," Station to Station, Blackstar, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, and Hunky Dory. All of these are just so fantastic. Over such a long career too. Few artist release something as good as Blackstar that late into their career.
• Fiona Apple: no bad albums, like 4 albums I rate a 9 or higher
• Bjork: she's Bjork. Homogenic is one of my all time favorites. Another all time arguable album with that.
