I can’t remember any of my calls..

Hey all, I have worked in EMS for about 6 years. 1 in private EMS, 5 in Fire/EMS. Im a paramedic and prior to switching to this line of work i was in the Army with a couple deployments to AFG. A friend and I were having a discussion about work and he referenced “that really bad breather I had”. I couldn’t for the life of me remember the call he was talking about. He referenced nearly step-by-step how I treated the patient and I still couldn’t remember. At first I chalked it up to lapse of memory but then I challenged myself to recall my last cardiac arrest, breather, cardioversion, etc and for the most part, my mind just went blank. I can still remember the worst of the worst and some of the funny calls that I’ve ran, but like 99% are just.. gone. Has this happened to anyone else? I understand not hanging onto the BS but I’ve seemed to have just brain dumped it all. Do you think it could my mind protecting me from burn-out? A stress response from all the trauma in Afghanistan and in the streets? I’d like to hear what you guys think.
