This posts sums everything that I hate about TikTok
These type of people are so insufferable, they discover an artist less than a year ago and make it their entire personality while belittling people who enjoy the more “mainstream” stuff. The App is full of people like this and isn’t just about Dean Blunt I am just making an example. This can go with any artist and it’s not limited to music either. It infuriates me because it’s always been a trend to make archetypes off people example being “you can’t be a real “insert artist” fan without wearing this style of clothing, listening to these other specific fans, and these hobbies.” Then they make up some buzzwords and slap the “core” suffix like shoegaze skater olderbrothercore blah blah and then forms the people who have “TikTok personality” or “TikTok music tastes” I know this subject is a bit off topic for this sub but damn I just to vent this problem because it’s annoying and toxic in general. I had TT deleted for a while and this is just a screenshot of a meme page but yeah.
