Which monitor should I get?

I'm stuck between the Samsung t350 22 inch monitor and the MSI prom mp225 22 inch monitor.

24 inches is too big for my desk.

The pros of the MSI over the Samsung is that it is 100hz vs just 75hz. I am a gamer but my laptop can only get roughly 90hz on my favourite game and like 60hz ish on most other games I play. But the game that gets 90hz makes up 90% of my playtime. The MSI also has a headphone output jack.

The cons is that I see a lot of reports online of the MSI having backlight bleed issues, as well as some weird flicker. It doesn't have a lot of reviews either so I can't really tell if that's a common thing or just a coincidental issue with a few units. Also, the Samsung one has some reports of dead pixels, but it mostly has decent reviews.

In my country, the Samsung is about 12 dollars cheaper.

Also, the main use of the monitor would be as a secondary monitor to my laptop so I can create flashcards from my lectures. This nullifies any use for the extra refresh rate really. However, when I do game I think that having a higher refresh rate would definitely be a welcome upgrade.

Which one would you guys suggest I get?
