Walter's biggest mistake

After several re_runs , I reflected on the show and and I have to say that Walter's biggest mistake AFTER GETTING INTO THE GAME was killing those two drug dealers and running them over. He got too involved with Jessie's messed up emotional side and that put him on a warpath with Gus. Don't get me wrong. I'm not hating on Jessie but he has some serious daddy isues and constantly seeks validation and admiration from Walt. Just look how he is begging for Walt's approval in that "one minute"episode, hospital room scene where he just wants Walt to tell him that he can cook as well as him.That's major daddy issues right there. Walt really should have cut ties with him after he landed that deal with Gus for three months.
