Why didn't Mike just give the names to Walt.

We all know how it went down, Walt shooting Mike and everything just went from bad to worse. Granted all these characters are considered "bad people" I mean they've all been involved in whatever crimes. I've watched this show for some time now, and I've rewatched it with my mother. The first time I felt sorry for Mike, but this time around it didn't make sense.

So basically why didn't Mike just give the names. At this point it's strategically the best thing he could do for Walt and Jesse simply because he already has been caught, but not them. I don't think there's an actual bond between mike and the prisoners other than them keeping silent so that Mike could still run free. I mean the guys he was trying to protect are all killing each other. Walt did point out that he could've gotten it from Lydia, I think even Mike knows that Walt would've probably figured it out eventually. It seems really frustrating how Mike just didn't give out the names, he could've lived. PS I would love to see how it goes down with Mike, Jesse and Walt against Jack and his neo nazis too.

There's just so many plot points where the show could've ended well (but we all know that's not happening). The show couldn't just show drug dealers havung good endings.
