Going to every single county my Ancestry DNA told me I was from: African edition
I'm jumping right into it because I don't have time for chitchat. My 23 and Me test says that I'm 88.7% African, 51% of that being Nigerian, and very likely to be Igbo. I get that all the time and that was what prompted me to do both 23 and Ancestry.
In the next few years, I plan on going to Nigeria, especially the coastal area where the Igbo People tend to be in higher numbers. I feel like it would be a full circle because one thing my ancestors wanted to do was go home.
Have any Black Americans been back to the continent, more specifically Nigeria? What was it like? What did you do? What do you recommend I do there? I'm mostly going to likely travel by myself as a female. After Nigeria, I'm going to Iceland, then I'm going to Ghana
