is it okay for my boyfriend to finish inside?

i got the kyleena iud 8 days ago, i was on the 2nd day of my period when i got the iud. last night he finished inside me for the first time. i just want reassurance to help my anxiety because i cannot stop thinking.

is the iud fully effective 7 days after getting it?
