Tanking Milk Supply
I'm three weeks postpartum, and I'm having problems with my milk supply.
Initially, my milk supply was really good (ironic, considering my daughter was in the NICU and I was worried sick about her). I was able to pump about 60 - 100 mls per pumping session with a manual pump + hospital grade pump and was pumping about 6-8 times a day. It got to where I could tell if I needed to pump due to how full my breasts were feeling.
Ever since my daughter came home and I started using a regular electric pump, my milk supply has completely tanked. Now, I'm lucky if I can pump 50 mls in one session, and my breasts never feel full anymore.
I've tried eating congee, drinking 2-3 jugs of water, and lactation cookies, but nothing is helping. We've been supplementing what I pump with formula, but I really want my milk supply to go back to how it was initially.
