Short term solution for very visible upper front tooth cavity?
Before the obvious is stated: I am trying to find a dentist, but the only dentist that pops up in my insurance search function is an oral surgeon at a plastic surgery clinic. I’ve been trying to contact his office all day to see if he will still provide services but no one has answered.
Background: I have been struggling with medical issues for a while, and every time I’m hospitalized for a while one of the first things that falls off is my oral hygiene. Tends to be the more traumatic the visit, the harder it is to get myself back into a regular tooth brushing routine afterwards. Two years ago I had severe internal bleeding bc of a doctors carelessness during a biopsy. I don’t think I can claim I was consistent after that ever. Last October/November I had to have a shunt put in, except it kept not taking, so I kept having to be rehospitalized, and not really having eyesight to speak of. In December in one last attempt to save my eyesight they did every single possible surgery they could for this condition, so I was actually blind on Christmas Eve which I guess I get to add to my roster of two truths and a lie facts. Anyways, what I’m trying to say is I was really messed up mentally, and I kinda had to go back to college and finish because it was my last year and I didn’t have the money for another. So I guess brushing my teeth just… stopped occurring to me. I graduated, but then I had to find a job which is its own distracting stressful mess, and then like two weeks ago, something in my head clicked like “remember tooth brushing?” So I immediately went I brushed my teeth and obviously pain blood etc, but some of the calcification fell off and to my horror I have two giant black cavities, one on my lower front tooth and one on my upper. Here’s the part where I really REALLY need this covered up. I have a job interview Wednesday. This is the most hopeful I’ve been in a very long while having already gone through the first interview with the boss. I am super unemployed, I need this job more than anything, and I can’t risk this clear as day dumbass rotting tooth somehow being the reason I lose out. I need someway to hide it while I meet with the office. So I am begging you guys, judge me as much as you want, criticize me, whatever, but please provide me with a solution. This is so important. Thank you.
