How to turn off my alarm without toggeling it off forever

Whether its the regular sleep alarm (the one with the ring how many hours you sleep) or just a normal alarm below that - how do i turn off an alam while its snoozing? without toggeling it off and inactivating it forever?

thing is i often snooze my alawm by pressing the off button. then i slowly wake up and i want to turn off my alarm while the alarm is still NOT ringing. but there is no way of doing this i believe? i can only turn off the alarm WHILE its ringing - this is very weird.
