Joe and Love + and Delilah?

I find it odd that Joe just gave up Love (Quinn) so easily, like when he told Delilah that he was gonna ask her out to dinner. but I'm not sure if he just said that to try to calm her down or if he actually had real feelings for her. But I really do think that Delilah was becoming Joe's new obsession.
