Techno clubbing?

I’m am abroad student here in Welly for the semester. I’ve seen and heard a lot about the live alternative music scene here which I’m looking forward to getting into. But I was wondering if there was a techno club scene or any venues? I love clubbing but I’m not into the today’s hits or frat party vibe which has been my experience with the clubs here so far. Also are there raves here? And, is Homegrown worth the price of tickets? Thanks!
