[Discussion] How Important is lume in a watch?

Lume is one of those things people often into watches can’t go without, I actually heard of people who simply won’t wear a dress watch at all because they don’t have lume which I think is ridiculous. I like lume but it’s not the be all end all for watches In my opinion. Realistically how often do you actually need lume to read a watch? Unless you’re going diving everyday or work at a nightclub I don’t see the obsessive need for it.

Personally I like lume but it’s not something that’s a must have in my opinion unless it’s a dive watch. I’m perfectly okay with the fact some watches don’t have lume or have weak lume. And I used to daily a seiko turtle which has insanely bright lume compared to most divers.
