“Not a good deal!”

So this is happened over a year ago while I was working on the register. This guy (probably late 40’s) came up to the register with 3 12 packs of coke; Me; “hi sir, do you have rewards with us?” I said while scanning the sodas, he said no and scoffed. Me: “ok that’s gonna be (it was around 30 something I think instead of the ‘buy 2 for blah blah blah’)” He immediately looked at the pin pad and pointed the price out while raising his voice saying that it was around 13 something not 30, while he raised his voice my other coworker; who we’ll call pirate and was a CSA at the time, was working photo and stood close by to make sure everything was ok. Me: “that price is with our rewards account, would you like for me to enroll you in one today for free?” He proceeded to scoff and grabs the sodas while repeating “that’s a bad deal, that’s a bad deal” angrily and puts them back aggressively where they originally were and leaves, pirate and I ended up laughing up a storm for a good 30 mins about the whole ordeal. To this day; Pirate (who’s a shiftlead now) and I laugh about it and any other customers interactions that just aren’t necessary. So just know, if you’ve done something like this in a store to a cashier, they probably have a laugh or two about it 😂
