Can the barracks manager have a roommate

I am a Cpl and the section chief in my shop, the only person above me in my shop is a Captain. Obviously it is a full time job and my command has made me responsible for being the full time barracks manager. So obviously 2 full time jobs has been too much work. Now they are trying to give me a roommate. Obviously I don’t want one and am just looking for some order/excuse to present to tell them I can’t have a roommate whether it be something like key control or something. I’ve been looking through the orders but can’t find anything that is a hard no. I’m supposed to be pinning on Sgt pretty soon (maximum 2-3 months) and they don’t give a shit. I don’t want to have to sell/rearrange half of my belongings for something that will be temporary.
