SHADY?? - Study: "Lead and Cadmium Found in Protein Powders," same Study: “We do not disclose the names of companies we test in order to maintain fairness... and to avoid potential conflicts of interest"
Like many of you, yesterday this headline caught my eye:
Lead and Cadmium Found in Protein Powders — Plant-Based and Chocolate-Flavored Are Worst Offenders
from https://people.com/lead-and-cadmium-found-in-over-the-counter-protein-powders-8771865
its based on this whitepaper from The Clean Label Project:
https://cleanlabelproject.org/wp-content/uploads/CleanLabelProject_ProteinStudyWhitepaper_010625.pdf
BUT - when you try and get the names from the organization they say:
“We do not disclose the names of companies we test in order to maintain fairness and consistency and to avoid potential conflicts of interest,”
Their own PDF says: "For a full list of products Clean Label Project evaluated, please visit the website at www.cleanlabelproject.org " This isn't true. So we know they are lying about at least one thing. I don't want to be a conspiracy theorist but something about this just doesn't sit right.
Anyone else notice this and/or have the same reaction??
