Spanish Immersion program for the summer, preferably in Mexico City

¡Hola! I’m an undergrad student looking to do a Spanish immersion program this upcoming summer (summer of 2025). Mainly because I’m using my semester abroad to focus on philosophy, my chosen major.

I have a friend who is Mexican and she’s living in Mexico City, and it would super awesome to do my program in CDMX so I could get to hang with her and use her help to really dig into the city. I’m wondering what programs I might look into? The only one I’ve seriously considered so far is CEPE at UNAM, they’re reccomended off several guides I’ve found and their pricing doesn’t seem too bad. I did find a post by /u/ankiquestions about their experience, and while I’m too worried about the difficulty ( just finished 203 at my university and Duolingo thinks I’m an A2 even though I’m a bit behind on where I really should be on Duolingo), I was planning on doing the July 7 - August 20th trip, which they mentioned has some downsides.

I was wondering if anyone knows if this recess still happens (can’t find it anywhere on the internet but I’m very blind).

Besides that though, are there any other programs in CDMX I should look into?
