Scott hired the burglars

I just finished watching and can’t help but think about the burglars who were not really talked about further??? Why the hell would they rob a house that’s surrounded by police swarms?? I’m convinced that Scott is a narcissistic sociopath and it doesn’t seem too weird to me he actually hired them to “rob” the house and paid them gooooood money. I think Scott is actually clever (not emotionally though) but I just can’t wrap my head around the fact known burglars would rob a house in that situation. It just seems to me like an SOS situation Rob tried to set up and thought would play out just perfectly. Anyone else???
