Read this book. Seriously.

This is my first post on reddit, so sorry if I make any mistakes or if this type of post isn't allowed.

But I wanted to recommend the book overcoming intrusive thoughts by Sally Winston and Martin Seif. I haven't even finished it yet but it's already been really helpful, so I wanted to share with you guys. I've struggled with various forms of intrusive thoughts for well over a decade now. I never sought professional help because well.. I just thought I was crazy. And I was scared of finding out that I'm simply a horrible person. These past few years I've learned more about OCD and intrusive thoughts, but I was still struggling. I bought the OCD workbook which I know a lot of people love, but it didn't completely click with me. This book does. Not only do I feel understood, but I feel like I understand myself better too.

I just wanted to share in the hopes it might help someone else. If you have any questions, ask away!
