Was waiting for this twist, never happened

Hi,

So Rocky didn't want Ryland into his spaceship (I know it would be complicated but he could have made it happen).

I was waiting for either

- Rocky to screw him over, once he had the solution to save his planet. Thought maybe that he was always the only crew member on his spaceship.

Would have led to a space chase/wits of mind or similar.

- Rocky's civilization to use the information from the laptop to attack, take over earth....

I haven't read any of Andy Weir's books before so didn't know if he went for stuff like this or not.
