Maintenance NC700

I was wondering how expensive the Honda NC700 is to maintain. I know there is a valve adjustment needed at 8000 miles that can be pricey, but was wondering if there was anything else.

Also would it be more worth it to buy a newer 750 due to the valve adjustments or other things.
