How the NETFLIX show brought me back to NASCAR and local racing after almost 20 years
I've always been into anything competitive and growing up as neighbors to Kelly and Ryan Moore (and sister Sarah) I naturally fell into loving racing.
I was a big Ricky Craven supporter being from Maine and loved watching Smoke race. Then the CoT and the Jimmie Johnson run showed up. I don't think I've lost interest in anything quicker in my life. I can't put my finger on it but I just couldn't care less.
Then over the winter I was bored and put that doc on, and I was hooked again. Loved the 23XI story, Jordan was a huge draw for me there - and then the wholesomeness of Tyler Reddick with the less douchey Denny Hamlin showed up and I was sucked right back in.
Now I'm watching religiously and am going to local short track races every weekend. I'm so happy Netflix put that out, otherwise I'd be missing a lot more.
Heading to Oxford Plains Speedway today for a championship race. Keep your ears out for a driver named Silas Ripley. Just turned 15 and is part of Hornaday race development. Kid can handle himself.
Have a great weekend!!
